  1. Happy Friday

About The Song…
♫ Dedicated to Joan M. Dougherty (I told you I’d put you in a song!). Some of Mike’s best drumming. Love that
Marc re-arranged his bass line on the fly in the recording studio to fit the arrangement with the horns and piano.
One of our favorites to play live. Long may the underdog win! I finally reached the point in my life where I see
the value of rest. And naturally, that starts with the weekend. I’d like to talk to the person who came up with
five days to work and two to relax. I have a new proposition! Nonetheless, enjoy all of your weekends! Here’s a shout out to Ja’Nae and Carmen for always greeting me with this salutation on a weekly basis. Another special thanks to Dave Wilby and the Dawson Street Pub for allowing us to shoot the video at their venue.

Lyrics

Friday eve, oh, what a week
Gonna get some wine, I'm gonna pick up my feet
Candles burning at both ends
Guess who needs the weekend?

Happy Friday, Oh happy, happy Friday
Happy Friday, Oh happy, happy Friday

Joan's life was the pits, she took some risk
And now she's rich because her numbers hit
Well, they all laughed, and they made fun
But guess who won the lotto?

[REFRAIN] [SOLO]

Good news accepted here, well the weekend's finally here
I'm gonna do all I want, I'm gonna do all I love
I'm gonna do all I want, I'm gonna do all I love, HEY

[INSTRUMENTAL REFRAIN]

Seven more days and one more pay
‘Til we get to sing this song again
Rick took his check and he placed a bet
Guess who beat the casino?

[REFRAIN]

Friday eve, I gotta some sleep
Gotta get some rest, I'm gonna call my sweet
With candles down low, hey, I'm ready to go
Guess who's making love?
