About The Song…
♫ Some nights things are going more than alright… We cut this in 1991 in Walt’s studio, and the band and I felt that this would make a nice snippet on this album. I knew a girl who was in a cult. Her family organized a “mission” to get her out. At first she resented her family. These lyrics are images, since that was her “thing”. Today, she’s very happy and very far from that part of her life.

Lyrics

Everything’s alright in the city tonight
Everything’s alright in the city tonight
Everything’s alright in the city tonight…

*Note that only the REFRAIN of this song appears on this album
Below are the lyrics to the entire song…

Are you sitting comfortably now
Can you take a ride some how
Is there something that’s on your mind
Money, time or the look in her eyes

[REFRAIN]

Do your feet, do they touch the ground
Walking on air with your head in the clouds
Maybe she still thinks of you
Chances are that you do too

[REFRAIN]

People dancing and they shout
The pavements move, they seem to crawl about
Colors and sounds while they imbalance
But is your life still such a challenge

[REFRAIN x 2]
